This site has been established to collect articles and information on Wales in World War One and those people from Wales who served in British forces during that conflict. Many Welshmen served in Welsh regiments and many served in regiments from elsewhere in The United Kingdom; it is intended to recount some of their experiences. Welsh women also served overseas during the Great War and a number of these also died. The site will host articles relating to major events during the war, but it will also host articles of a local interest. Each locality within Wales saw men leave for service in the war and many never returned. If some of their stories should be told and brought to life, then this will help to preserve their memory.
Every effort has been made to ensure the accuracy of the information included in articles. If errors have occured we will welcome these being brought to our attention.
